Your Omea Consent Pro licence unlocks the Pro features on one site and keeps Pro updated. Everything about it is on one screen: Omea Consent › Pro License.

The Pro License screen

With an active licence, the License card shows:

Row Example
Status Active
License key masked, for example OMEA-••••-••••-1A2B
Plan Omea Consent Pro · 1 site
Activated on your site’s domain
Renews the renewal date

Below it are two buttons: Manage subscription opens your account at account.cultmetrics.com, and Deactivate on this site releases the licence.

Without an active licence, you’ll see “Pro features are paused until a license is activated on this site. Your settings are kept.” and the Activate license card.

Updates

Pro updates the same way as plugins from WordPress.org: when a new version is out, it appears on the Plugins screen and under Dashboard › Updates. The Updates card on the Pro License screen shows either Up to date or Update available with the new version number.

Updates come from Cultmetrics’ own update server, not WordPress.org, and are only offered to sites with an active licence. Pro also tells you which version of the free Omea Consent plugin it needs – currently 1.0.2 or newer.

How the licence is checked

  • Pro confirms the licence with Cultmetrics’ licence server and remembers the result for 12 hours.
  • If the server can’t be reached, Pro keeps using the last confirmed active status for up to 14 days, so a short network problem doesn’t switch your features off.
  • If the server answers that the licence has expired or been disabled, the Pro features pause at the next check. Your settings stay; the free plugin keeps working.

Renew or cancel

Your subscription renews yearly. Use Manage subscription on the Pro License screen to manage it in your Cultmetrics account.

Move the licence to another site

  1. On the old site, open Omea Consent › Pro License and click Deactivate on this site.
  2. On the new site, install the free Omea Consent plugin and Omea Consent Pro.
  3. Paste the key under Omea Consent › Pro License and click Activate.

To bring your banner settings along, use Settings › Maintenance › Export settings on the old site and Import from file… on the new one. The export covers Omea Consent’s settings, scripts, cookie overrides and Pro’s Custom CSS – integrations, conversions and the age gate aren’t included, so set those up again on the new site.

Lost your key?

It’s in the email from Cultmetrics after checkout. Still can’t find it? Email info@cultmetrics.com from the address you bought with.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to my settings if the licence expires?

They’re kept. Pro features pause until a licence is active again, and the free plugin keeps working as before.

Can I use one licence on several sites?

No – one licence works on one site. To move it, deactivate it on the old site first.

Will Pro stop working if Cultmetrics' server is down?

No. If the licence server can’t be reached, Pro keeps using the last confirmed status for up to 14 days.
