Omea Consent Pro licence won't activate: fixes
Fix Omea Consent Pro licence activation: the free plugin isn't active, the key is mistyped or in use elsewhere, or the licence server is unreachable.
On this page
Open Omea Consent › Pro License. The message there usually tells you what’s wrong.
“Omea Consent Pro requires the free Omea Consent plugin”
Pro is an add-on. Install and activate Omea Consent from Plugins › Add New Plugin, then activate Pro again. If you see “Omea Consent Pro works best with Omea Consent … or newer”, update the free plugin under Plugins.
“Please enter a license key.” or “Activation failed.”
- Copy the key again from the email from Cultmetrics – it looks like
OMEA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Watch for spaces at the start or end. - One licence works on one site. If it’s active somewhere else – a staging copy, an old domain – open Pro License there and click Deactivate on this site first.
- If the subscription has ended, renew it in your account at account.cultmetrics.com.
“The license server is unavailable. Please try again later.”
Your site couldn’t reach account.cultmetrics.com. Try again in a few minutes. If it keeps happening, your host may be blocking outgoing requests – ask them to allow HTTPS requests to account.cultmetrics.com.
If Pro was already active, a short outage doesn’t switch anything off: Pro keeps the last confirmed status for up to 14 days.
“Pro features are paused until a license is activated on this site.”
No active licence on this site. Your settings are kept. Paste the key and click Activate.
The key from checkout didn’t activate by itself
When you buy from the Upgrade to Pro page, Pro activates the saved key when you install it. If the licence server couldn’t be reached at that moment, it tries again after 10 minutes. If the key was refused, the reason shows on the Pro License screen – paste the key manually or contact us.
