Frequently asked questions
Is Omea Consent really free?
Yes. The banner, Google Consent Mode v2, script blocking, auto-blocking, the consent log, the local scanner, one cloud scan and the cookie policy are all free, with no limits on visitors or page views.
What does Omea Consent Pro add?
One-click tags for eight platforms, conversion tracking, server-side Conversions APIs, unlimited monthly cloud scans, the banner on pages outside WordPress, one choice across subdomains, an age gate, a full-screen layout, custom CSS and priority email support. 7 days free, then €49 a year + VAT per site.
Does Omea Consent send data to Cultmetrics?
No – not while it runs. The consent log stays in your database. Data is sent only when an administrator starts a cloud scan (your site address and a one-time token), turns on the optional CookieDatabase.org lookups, or opens the Pro checkout.
Does it work with page caching?
Yes. The visitor’s choice is read in the browser and the consent log endpoint works from cached pages. If a performance plugin delays JavaScript, exclude Omea Consent’s scripts.
Does it work with WooCommerce?
Yes. WooCommerce’s own cookies are always allowed as necessary. With Pro, purchases, checkouts and add-to-carts can be sent to your ad platforms as conversions – with consent.
Which languages does the banner support?
Any language. The default texts come translated, and your own texts can be translated with Polylang or WPML.
What are the requirements?
WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer.
Is Omea Consent GDPR compliant?
It gives you what a GDPR banner needs: prior blocking, reject as easy as accept, granular choices, proof of consent and easy withdrawal. Whether your site complies also depends on how you set it up and on your other processing.
Where do I get help?
